- Select the mapping api of your choice (Google Maps, Google Earth, OpenLayers)
- Develop your mapping plugin once and deploy it on different mapping clients
- Share your plugins with the CartoView community
- Very fast to deploy, download plugins, install the plugins in cartoview to author your map, no programming required
- Customizable skins
- Very easy to extend, based on Javascipt ExtJS

According to Kamal at the CartoView forum, the licence is LGPL:
"Re: What Licence is for Cartoview?
Our license is LGPL, you should refer to the licenses of Google Maps API, Google Earth API, OpenLayers and ExtJs".

Anyone know what licence CartoView is published under? Could not find this information on their website, nor in the download. Weird.... However, very impressive API.
