I wouldn't mind sitting in one but just for time being and fun. Rest I don't think this technology would be accepted.

It's a no brainer. Of course there will be driverless cars. I think it will be a real paradigm shift, too. Something similar to Rainbows End, where there are driverless taxis waiting around every corner to pick you up.
